Around a year ago, I started this blog. Around 4 months ago, I forgot about it. Time to reset.
I’ve still been using the platform for my essays, I believe they were slightly useful for the people currently in 3rd year at Exeter. And to be honest, there’s currently 15 draft posts which are at varying levels of completion. For some reason, I just never got round to finishing them… never a good excuse.
So where from here? I am going to move away from the blog posts which discussed my academics. I found [unsurprisingly] that after spending ages on an essay, I didn’t want to write about it. I will keep archives of my work, including the work which I’m currently undertaking in my Masters. These will be in side tabs with a little line written underneath about how I found them/criticism from the feedback. Although, if I do something especially interesting [like I am now for an essay on Geographies of Culture, Creativity and Practice], I will write a designated post about it. At the moment, I still can’t release my dissertation because of some GDPR laws, although I may look to re-write it when I have the chance.
Instead, I am going to try to do a minimum of one post a month. I’ll try to keep it varied, I have a lot of ideas at the moment which need fleshing out. This space will hopefully allow me to discuss things which I have touched upon in my academic work in a much more relaxed [and mostly unreferenced] environment. Some months this may be book review, others a full-blown essay.
More to come, stay tuned.
